New development is transforming Totem Lake and Kirkland, with exciting new retail, outdoor and office destinations.
A massive 11.5-acre mixed-use multi-phase development will include 650,000 square feet of Class-A office space (future tenants include Tableau and Wave, and the office towers could serve as many as 5,000 employees), 225,000 of commercial space (future tenants include QFC, Bright Horizons, and HomeStreet Bank, as well as restaurants, a movie theater, and a health club), 300,000 square feet of residential space (room for 380 one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and townhouse rental units), and enough parking for 1,700 vehicles.
The Village At Totem Lake
The Village at Totem Lake is the redevelopment of a newly imagined lifestyle center complete with a village feel, mixed-use, gourmet grocery, high-end residential and other desirable experiences. While retaining several of the legacy tenants within the project, the development will also include a state-of-the-art luxury theatre, experiential restaurants, unique retail and other modern features. Guests will be pleased to discover a distinctive environment which also features creative office space, parks and plazas with fountains and regularly organized local events. The Village at Totem Lake will add more than 800 homes and nearly 400,000 square feet of retail space—enough for 2,000 employees.
Totem Lake Park
The Totem Lake Park is expected to be a destination for residents, shoppers and employees at the Village at Totem Lake and users of the Cross Kirkland Corridor (CKC). The park will include lawn areas, seating, picnicking amenities, parking, street lighting, a playground, boardwalk, asphalt path and a restroom building.
Totem Lake Connector
The Totem Lake Connector will be a bicycle and pedestrian bridge, that will connect the two ends of the 5.75-mile Cross Kirkland Corridor currently severed by one of Kirkland’s most complicated intersections: Totem Lake Boulevard and Northeast 124th Street.
